While convergence insufficiency is often thought of as a kid's condition, many adults suffer from it, too. And many do not realize it. They therefore do not complain about the issue during an eye exam and, as in B.D.'s case, it may go undiagnosed for some time. Have you or B.D. read "Fixing My Gaze" by Sue Barry, Ph.D. yet? It is a great look into how the brain and eyes work and how beneficial vision therapy can be. I highly recommend it. Indeed, double vision is not normal.
